As we navigate a rapidly changing world, preserving cultural heritage and traditional knowledge is more important than ever. Workshop 7: Skills Exchange, part of the Bridging Generations program, offers seniors the opportunity to pass down hands-on skills like cooking, knitting, and woodworking to younger generations—celebrating wisdom, creativity, and connection.
Objective
This workshop empowers seniors to share traditional practices and crafts with youth, fostering mutual respect and appreciation across generations. Through hands-on mentorship, participants will explore the value of lived experience and the importance of preserving practical, cultural knowledge.
What to Expect
🔹 Hands-On Learning: Youth learn directly from seniors through guided cooking, knitting, woodworking, and other traditional skill sessions.
